About
Vickie Simos

Author of The Boxer Within

Vickie Simos is a martial artist, author, mentor, and founder of Thelo Active Therapy. Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: that movement, discipline, and self-awareness can become tools for healing, growth, and transformation.

Through years of personal experience, martial arts became more than physical training for Vickie. It became a way to navigate adversity, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with a deeper sense of identity and purpose. What began as a personal journey eventually evolved into a philosophy that now underpins both The Boxer Within and Thelo Active Therapy.

Her story is not one of perfection, but persistence. It’s about learning how to move through challenge rather than avoid it, and in the process discovering strength.

The Boxer Within

The Boxer Within was written as an honest reflection on resilience, identity, struggle, and personal growth.

At its core, the book explores the inner battles many people face, those of self-doubt, fear, loss of direction, emotional hardship and the process of finding strength through them. Drawing from lived experience, Vickie shares the lessons, mindset, and transformative impact that Martial Arts has had on her life.

The Boxer Within resonates with readers looking for something real, grounded, and relatable, a reminder that growth often comes through challenge.
